It took a long time to unravel XXT-5K's secrets, and even then the teams involved a long way from finished. Every day excavators and researchers dig and dust, looking for more evidence to XXT-5K's past- Unfortunately most of it tells a very violent story. XXT-5K is a factory world, with every square inch of surface covered with various building dedicated to her once clearly thriving manufacturing activity. But the history of XXT-5K is far from one of a happy factory planet; Across the planet, vehicles and robots are strewn about in what once was a great war that appears to have stretched across tens of thousands years. The best assessment to date was carried out by Dr. Luara JONES of the REF's Forensic Research Teams. Dr. JONES was recruited to the REF from Invid occupied Terra, where she had been working as an archologist. Dr. JONES' assessment was that some 25 to 30 thousand years ago, an uprising against what she dubbed "The Ruling Class (a species of ovoid robots) occurred by the peasant class using the machines (militry and civil) that they were manufacturing. The Ruling Class retreated to a hastily fortified building leading to a rocket launch complex in a crater that had been built over in the intervening time. Not much else can be learned about them and only one example of their unique technology was ever recovered, this being at the launch complex where clearly very intense fighting had occurred. Once the peasants won the war they seem to have turned on each other. Her assessment conceded that it appeared to be an incomplete uprising, as the peasants seemed to form two major factions, one involved in the militry manufacturing side and the other the civil manufacturing side. At least some of the Militry Faction as she dubbed them seemed to try to defend the ruling caste in their final hours, but were overwhelmed in part because the rebel faction included Militry Faction as well. As the rulers escaped, the civil war continued as the Militry Faction vied with Civil Faction to secure control of the planet. Over time, attrition depleted both factions until both were extinct. It was very noteworthy that no biologic bodies were ever found, nor was housing nor anything else associated with biological life forms; This missing information perplexes even modern analysts, but Dr. JONES proposed the novel theory that the planet was made up entirely of sentient robots, starting with The Ruling Class who created the Minister and Enforcer Class, then proceeded to build the Slave Class (later the Militry and Civl Factions) which rebelled. Noteworthily, the REF and the Information Bureau (the predecessor to the GIB)'s analysts agree but the Council does not despite precedents to this idea. Dr. JONES served as the leading archologist and after 5 years in that capacity was promoted to the first civilian governor of the planet under the UGC by an appointment from the Joint Council until her death 20 years later, at which point the Director of the IB took direct control but appointed a Governor-General to administer the planet on her behalf. Single Planet/Solar System, but the star kingdom may have influence far beyond its borders. | Splinter of Older Civilization: XXT-5K is part of the larger UGC, and therefore naturally is "a splinter." | Advanced Space Age: XXT-5K has access to all other UGC technology- Including some that "doesn't" exist. | Enlightened Imperialists. Existing and Known Species (Human, T'sentraedi, Wolfen, Fljyt, etc.), in roughly the same numbers as the total population of the UGC; Some species (Humans and T'sentraedi, but more so Zertonians and Agorrians) are over represented while others (Remulous, Mandalorian, K'Hardishuns, Fehran, Uruk Hai, etc.) are underrepresented and others (such as Orcs) have no representation. | Autocratic Bureaucracy: Although XXT-5K is generally rule by bureaucrats and an organization of agencies, the Director of the GIB has autocratic authority in times of crisis. They can suspend any subordinate legislative power on nothing more than their own authority, but their authority is vested in them by the UGC- It can be taken just as casually. | Restrictive: The GIB's only real industry is UGC secrets, and therefore the Directors run a tight ship with multiple agencies, frequent inspections and tests, and periodic audits of itself. Penalties for breaking the law are hard, and for government employees not doing their duty can be fatal. Many of the common rights of UGC citizens elsewhere are suspended here, including the right against warrantless search. | Limited Trade: XXT-5K maintains a mercantile body that trades in various goods typically for straight cash from UGC budget. The GIB's only real industry is UGC secrets, and therefore there's very little else for them to trade with; However, they do export scrap metal and emergent technologies in some amounts (as well as investments abroad to support the UGC's agendas).
The Director of XXT-5K is nominally the Governor-General, but they can and routinely do delegate much of their direct authority to subordinates, even usually transferring the title Governor-General to someone else. They use this as a check an balance against abuses, since the Director could easily do so. The cities of XXT-5K even have their local elected officials as one more check on the Director's power.
Established: XXT-5K has reached the limit of their direct territorial limits, and the borders are very well known.

The UGC had a curious conundrum- XXT-5K needed a defense force which could have been easy enough by forming a Fleet and Corps and assigning them to the planet, but then a danger of the force being detailed to other operations could rise. An RDF
Additionally, all Civis residents are part of the formal Civis militia; Two weeks a years and TWO weekends a month, all residents are required to report for training. Normal reserve militry training is very militry oriented, but on Civis it's a little more wide ranging; There is weapons and paramilitry training, but there is also fire response, security and riot/crowd control training, and medical training far above standard militry level (equal to Paramedic at 25%+3%, which can be increased to full by taking additional training at which point the character gets a +18% bonus in addition). The training is also used to reinforced "Civic Obligation" messaging to the point that the Council has called it out as brainwashing, an accusation the then GIB Director flatly denied as the residents are free to hear any counter message on their own time they want. XXT-5K natural has maintenance needs, needs that are filled by a small army of highly skilled technicians and craftsmen of hundreds of types. The Maintenance Service was formed to keep these workers organized and operating efficiently. All are vetted for security and most are UGC militry veterans (in fact most are current XXT-5K Defense Forces reservists). As such, most like to remind those around them that they are militia members (in some previous empires such reminders were mandatory, such as the Terran Hessian Palatinate or 'state'), typically by wearing a coat appropriate to the season. The XXT-5K Maintenance Service provides basic utility outfits when necessary in addiction to any tools the members might need in the usual course of their duties; A fleet of vehicles can be used, but are typically specialty vehicles for the type or work they are doing. Basic communications services (cell phones and bluetooth devices) are routinely available, as is support for bionics. The agency has their own security guards, mostly tasked with protecting service facilities and personnel from random vandalism and domestic disputes on employer property (about a third of the employees are divorced). The agency's special budget is very small, and mostly for developing new tools (such as the tool droid seen here) and sending employees to specialty schools. Due to the unusual personal strains excellent caused by working for the GIB without the prestige of being actual spies, Maintenance Services employees get a 25% bonus over most other workers in their field and experience. Tron and Her Sister Little Tron. Orbiting Tron is her own satellite, XXT-5K has 2 apparently natural satellites, CBT-001 nicknamed Cyb'tron (or more commonly just "Tron") and CBT-002. Tron in turn has her own satellite, CBT-001a or "Little Tron." CBT-001 and -001a appear to be natural, but CBT-002's eccentric orbit lead many to believe either she is a captured object (probably an asteroid) or that the system suffered a dramatic gravitational event that pulled her form her proper orbit. Tron and Little Tron both have several other satellites, all of which appear to be have been captured asteroids used for mining purposes; Across all of them are the debris of said mining efforts, and the deactivated robots seen on the moons and planet. Tron was clearly the epicenter of the violence that wracked XXT-5K; Despite being one tenth the size of XXT-5K, Tron has around 100 times as many destroyed robots and vehicles. So extreme was the violence on Tron that part of the surface had been obliterated, and are unsafe at this time to approach. It is speculated that somewhere on Tron was the center of power (the capital), and that the fighting on XXT-5K was in support of the fighting on Tron, though this can not be definitively accepted, and sceptics point out that the Teletron interface is on the planet. Little Tron doesn't have nearly the level of devastation of either body; While there is evidence of fighting, Little Tron also has evidence of intentional and controlled demolition, and more so signs of reutilization attempts of the deconstructed materials, most particularly junk piles near a smelters with the remains of recycled metals being stockpiled nearby. It is unknown if the sites were abandoned before, during, or after the outbreak of violence, but near these sites there are very rare bodies, indicating very little violence occurred in the area. The majority of the violence on Little Tron appears around the remains of main power plants, indicating that control of those plants had become a priority at some point- Even this is nothing compared to the violence on any part of XXT-5K, with only a few hundred destroyed robots and vehicles being found. XXT-5K has another satellite that appears to be fully artificial in nature, and extremely curious; A severed head some 2,000 miles across. No one is sure what this is, where it came from, or how it got here nor why. The artifact has been nicknamed "XXT-K5's Head" or "Tron's Head" (it seems to be in a Lagrange position between the two, suggesting it was originally orbiting Tron). Its "eyes" appear to be photographic receptors in addition to other wavelengths, but the centers are curiously smashed out; Macroscopic analysis indicated an explosion of some sort happened internally to the artifact, but the lack of an identifiable source point suggests the explosion happened in a now non-existent section of the artifact. Some limited access to databanks has been achieved, but nothing significant enough to be useful; About 1 million hours of video and audio recordings out of synch with one another for no apparent reason. It has been speculated this item is somehow related to the former rulers of XXT-5K, but how is still entirely unknown. Psychics brought in to investigate the head have described a sleeping presence of such malevolence that it scared them to the bone- More than one refused to ever return to the site. As one put it "Even in his sleep, this entity is nothing but hate, rage, and evil. You should destroy it now, before it awakens" (this advice was over ruled by others who posited that the artifact was containing the entity somehow, and that destroying it would release it). Now a company of RDF infantry guard the artifact 24/7 on rotations of one week per year.

XXT-5K had several problems, one of which was that a relatively smaller number of people were supposed to occupy a whole planet. A partial solution was to turn this into a state unto itself, thus making the GIB the government of the planet. Nominally the director of the GIB is the Mayor/Governor, but in reality they do very little in this department, delegating much of their duties to others (often recruited to exactly this position). Of great importance at the moment is to tear down and recycle dangerous buildings, build new buildings, rehabilitate and renovate what's left (over a hundred apartment buildings have been created using the available structures, but it's barely enough), and build roads to facilitate transit across the planet. The life of Civis isn't perfect; The residents have to pay Global taxes, but there are no local taxes because the people of Civis don't have any right to vote on local matters. They are allowed to at the approval of the Mayor, and various Mayors have approved measures differently. They are still not only allowed but required to vote in Global matters (failure to fill out your ballot is a fine punishable by a 20 credit fine). The Mayors need this level of authority because of Civis' only real industry- The GIB has secrets that must be protected. Additionally, rebuilding and entire planet is a massive endeavor under the best of circumstances, and these aren't the best of circumstances. At first the entire planet and her satellites (natural and artificial) were part of Civis while Little Tron had a small neighborhood and industrial complex. Since then XXT-5K has been divided into several districts that are still part of Civis until they are bifurcated into cities of their own. Tron and CBT-002 only have routine militry patrols at this time. General Information: Name: XXT-5K Civic Authority Or Civis. Director: The Director of the GIB is the mayor of the city, however they typically delegate a lot of their normal mayoral powers to specific people to oversee different departments. The success of Civis led to more people arriving- Mostly T'sentreadi who'd recently been freed from their programing (about 115,000). Most settled in an area they named Kalis, a city of jagged seafoam spires, weathered with a darker
Many antennae jut off the tops of the spires, which seem to teeter precariously, columns and cones layered together on offset platforms. A few of the buildings are a sort of chambray blue and resemble skewed pyramids, slicked back and pulled upward, banded with stripes and grooves, with marquees on the front advertising the contents inside. Others shade into a mauve and are distorted even further, with processes that seem almost skeletal, platforms jutting from the central strut. Some end in domes. Triangles in bands and circles alone are common decorations. Some buildings seem horned, their antennae jutting and curving like talons. Kalis is geographically isolated, linked via bridges to the outside world. The ancient civil war consumed the city with vast numbers of destroyed robots left untended in the city, and the city itself a ruin. The city is significant of the presence of a massive fusion reactor. The reactor's condition however leaves much to be desired. Unless extensive repairs are made, if it reactivated it will destroyed Kalis. There are signs that someone did try to rebuild the reactor at one point, and ominously that violence ensued in the process- Someone else halted the rebuilding process. The city also contains a construct that appears to be a large-scale radio transmitter, along with a decommissioning yard where the destroyed or otherwise decommissioned equipment seems to have been laid out carefully, as if reverently. Archeology at the site has revealed the remains of a castle with a giant statue built by much the same technology set as the rest of the planet. Dubbed Onyx Castle, it appears to have been destroyed around 10 million years ago along with the city as it existed at that time. A curious device found in the ancient city. Testing on it showed it displaces mass, though how exactly is unclear. The city is regularly swept by acid rainstorms and the remains of a giant ship is still visible on the surface- A significant local landmark, but a curious one considering the ship really isn't all that large. ships several orders of magnitude larger than this crashed on Terra during Kara Qalliph Diel'are Kah Yar and were disassembled so it is wondered why the people of this world did not. Kalis has the potential to be a great metropolis once more, but as more than one observer has put it, "this place looks like the industrial district on Jahvre." In the first year, the T'sentraedi sent to XXT-5k were broken up into working parties of around 100 each and tasked to clean up the city, then to build a field galley and semi-permanent housing, then permanent housing. Rebuilding the manufacturing facilities has lagged due to a lack of funding, but the first resident re-ordered themselves into an army in short order. They now consider themselves XXT-5k's Primary defenders, but have branched out to security forces and fire fighting as well; "The most dangerous things in the universe is a bored 'traedi." Kalis's outlook for the near future isn't too bright, but the city's long term prospects are better. The lack of manufacturing has faltered the city's potential, but the people are finding other industries to slowly fill in the gap, while Governor-Generals and GIB Directors (when not one in the same) are advocating to get the manufacturing sector back up and running. General Information: Name: Kalis City. Government: An experiment in self-rule, Kalis has an elected City Council who use a parliamentrian system (the elected leaders elect their head). ![]() | Quadrono Kalis is an entirely unofficial organization entirely of Meltraedi (female T'sentraedi). The only requirement for membership is to be a Meltraedi (though New Blood are accepted without question). Quadrono Kalis's very unofficial founder is SCHAR Musiere. It started as a place for SCHAR to drink, then became a bar, and then a club. More recently non-Meltraedi females (especially Agonians) have been allowed into the bar, but not as members- This is a uniquely Meltraedi thing. You wouldn't understand. SCHAR eventually micronized so she could marry a mi'cronne, Daniel WITWICKY, whom she met because he broke into her bar telling her that he loved her and he wanted to marry her (though she would live full sized from time to time), and was strangely fond of the Micro Defense Drone motif, even going so far as to try to get bionic implants of the drone's eyes, ears, and left arm (a request that fortunately for her was refused, as she would meet her future husband later on). Type: Informal club, sometime bar. Leader Title: "We don't have one. I guess you wanna talk to SCHAR… Over there, with the collar." Membership Type: Very strictly Meltraedi; For a long time the only non-Meltraedi allowed in the building was SCHAR'S husband Daniel, and that was to take the trash out from the mi'cronne side of the bar. All other males are allowed in as a guest of a patron, who still must be a female of their species. Goals: Give women and specifically Meltraedi a place to unwind. Size and Orientation: House (12Ø); Literally SCHAR'S living room. Features: | ![]()

"How did I get here?!?!" | None; "Do I look like a cryptographer? The day I need a dress code is the day I need to close the doors forever." | Not Official Founder, SCHAR Musiere.
Good Equipment; Despite her protestations this is just informal, SCHAR did put some real money into buying decent product and equipment. | None; "Guns and booze don't mix well. It gives the vodka a metallic aftertaste that nobody likes." | None; SCHAR has a PDA (with built in cell phone and bluetoothed ear piece and smartglasses), the bar has a landline and website. That's about it. | Lax; SCHAR marriage is testament to the "security" here, but she does keep sufficient measures in place to keep fights and theft to a minimum.
"You mean my shack? THAT DUMP?!" Hut or Hovel | "Intelligence? HA! We're too drunk to fall down straight!" cackling Gossips | Best described as "Mixed" (at a cost of Principled), but everyone's diffrent... | Con Men; The bar/club is illegal, so SCHAR lies all day everyday that it's just a shack.
Even though it's technically illegal, nobody will do anything about Quadrono Kalis because it gives the women a place to blow off steam, and few things are more dangerous than a bored or pissed off T'sentreadi; Number one on that list is an unhappy FEMALE T'sentreadi.
"You say 'Inferior' like it's a bad thing..." | Charges Fees | None.
"Other Specials": Kalis Quadrono lies in a murky legal world; It was an abandoned pre-UGC building, and SCHAR really did start out sneaking off here to drink alone until she got caught- By a sympathetic Meltraedi, TARNAN Hessikra. After that they started drinking together commiserating about their lives. From there they were joined by more of their own kind, until suddenly there was something like money in play. SCHAR then bought the shack and converted it to a home, developing the entrance into the bar that exists today. This technically makes it her home, and technically makes it a bar. As her home everything is perfectly legal, as a bar it's illegal because she doesn't have a business license nor does she pay any business taxes, and while the payments are 'voluntry' those who don't are eventually asked to leave. Additionally, the requirement for membership of being a Meltraedi would violate non-members civil rights (it's illegal to have a species or race based organization), but since SCHAR allows non-Meltraedi to enter it's kind of moot. The local officials are well aware of Kalis Quadrono, but are loathe to do anything about it because they're legitimately afraid of the ramifications- especially since some of the members are those officials or their husbands and boyfriends. SCHAR has attended the Drevail School, but isn't a formal member.

The Agonians appeared over XXT-5K very suddenly making a claim to the entire planet based on their legend that their species came from this world. They claim a million years before they
Solila and Darak weren't as alone as they thought they were though- Over a million of each group joined them in their exodus. They and later their decedents traveled the universe, using signs and clues to try to find what they believed was their true homeworld, the world of Zerta, and this exodus eventually lead them to XXT-5K. They do not know the way back home- Their ancestors destroyed all charts not only of their early trek, but in fact of the galaxy they originally came from. Their people had travelled at least a full galaxy at basic FTL to reach XXT-5K, and they don't want to know the way back home (not that they can anyways, as their ancestors built new computer cores with clean charts and then recycled the old cores). The best clue they do have is that several galaxies are marked "unsafe" without date stamps- At least three of these are occupied by the UGC, proving they are not as 'unsafe' as is claimed. The Agonians applied to become members of the UGC and within a week of arrival, they were granted War Refugee status giving them 10 years outright to complete their application, and their application was eventually granted. The leaders of the two factions at arrival, Crown Prince Zalilak and Crown Princess Kanela, declared their next intentions; Every Agorrian would be required to breed only with a Zertonian and vice versa in order to unify their races into one again. The peace between the races had been maintained in part by only allowing them to breed with their own, with two leaders, a male Agorrian as Crown Prince and a female Zertonian as Crown Princess. Once unification could begin, the Crown Prince and Princess would breed together to have the first King or Queen, thus solidifying the two peoples as one again. For over 100 generations, the Crown Prince and Princess had been prohibited from having children of any type, and as Zalilak and Kanela plead their case to the Governor-General of XXT-5K Zalilak revealed that he and Kanela had been in a sexual relationship since their joint coronation- Kanela then revealed for the first time that as a result she'd had 6 abortions, a revelation which devastated Zalilak as much as Kanela. With this, Zalilak made an emotional plea for help- "Please sir let my people stay." His plea was granted on the spot, and with in the year the Agorrians were granted full citizenship with a site on Little Tron reserved for the building of the first city dubbed New Lithone (for a mythological city of their homeworlds) with Council assistance. The first Queen, Ultum, was born one year later. Since their arrival a century ago the Agorrians have proven the most fanatical of UGC loyalists, but more so XXT-5K loyalists; The overwhelming majority of Agorrians do serve in the REF, but normally only an enlistment or two as a step in their personal development, then return to New Lithone before beginning their life, but XXT-5K is THEIR homeworld, and they will protect her. | XXT-5K/Little Tron.

The Agonians application to UGC membership was conditionally approved as 'political asylum' not because the Council's representative (the Acting Director Of XXT-5K Security) believed their story (he didn't and admitted as much in his report), but because they were using a ship that matched the images carved into buildings and in some places painted on the bulkheads inside buildings around the planet. His initial belief was there were The Ruling Class. Damage to the ship matched that that would occur under the conditions they described. The Lt. Col. had hoped to develop intelligence on the Ruling Class despite the limitations presented, and to develop a worker base for XXT-5K. His report also strongly emphasized his support for their full citizenship, contingent to their acceptance of the normal conditions (pay taxes, accept UGC laws, etc.), and the Council's approval was more a formality than a real discussion. One of those terms was that they would transfer all technology and any other information of interest, at very least to know if there was anything dangerous; There wasn't. Most Agonian technology is at least 4 generations behind the UGC's; If this is the technology they used on their homeworld and has been in use for thousands of years and the Crown Prince and Princess claims, then the Zertans not only aren't a threat to the UGC but they might not even be a legitimate threat to themselves. The only place where Agonian technology really shines is computers; The Agonians admit they inherited the tech from 'others' whom they describe as armored angels. While the UGC will not grant the Agonians full control of XXT-5K, they have granted them the North Western half of Little Tron. The hospital and proto city was built by the REF, and the Agonians were left to do the rest on their own. A large space port at the western edge of the city gives access to RDF and REF ships which arrive every 2 weeks to remind anyone who might want to fuck around just how hard they can find out. The Aurora Borealis is a routine demonstration of REF firepower as the ships in orbit engage in routine gunnery drills. The residents have seen it so many times they ignore it entirely, but others are watching (including the Palpatinians and Atorians, both of which have to transit through multiple galaxies to get here) and they are getting the message; "Hands off. Fuck off. On second thought please, Say When." General Information: Name: Little Tron or Little Tron City. Leadership: The Crown Of The Agonians (the sex changes over generations). Location: XXT-5K CBT-001a northwest half. Size and Orientation: City Size (500) Function: Private Business (advanced refugee camp). Features:
A series of rebuilt fusion reactors. | Shields (300,000 MDC), Heavy Weapons. They can depend upon XXT-5K Defense Forces and the RDF/REF to come to their aid. | Satellites: 25 Short Range and 2 Medium Range Satellites with Superior Sensors. | Advanced Communications; They only really need to talk to Civis and the rest of XXT-5K anyways.
High Priority. Cleanup and reconstruction has been an ongoing process. | Dependent; Attempts to build farms have been highly unsuccessful since Agonians simply can't think that way anymore. | Local Law Enforcement and Private Security Force; In addition to security guards they have an internal investigations element, a police force, and they can call up militry force if needed. | Full Hospital; Zerta Hospital was built by the REF to a standard for the entire system.
High-Tech Security Measures: Even residences have extreme security measures, including self-locking doors. | Advanced System; The Agonians are trying to get the systems upgraded, but their resources are limited. | Small Business and Trading Post; All to support the city. There is a thriving 'tourist district' at the western edge of the city to entertain RDF/REF personnel when they arrive every 2 weeks or so. | 5%; Coming here is still a privilege, but the city does a lot of tourism for XXT-5K residents and militry personnel.

The Agonians were not content to expect the REF to defend them entirely alone; to this end they began acquiring battle and power armor (mostly third hand PA's or Nousjadel-Ger's rebuilt by the Agonians in the Zarian variant). At this time Agonian Defense Forces are entirely infantry with some limited Air Support (6 Corsair fighters). First Agonian draws extensive support from Kalis Botoru which is reciprocated wherever possible; Two whole blocks of New Lithone are set aside for Kalis Botoru for their use (though at their expense), and a lively Red Light District exists back there that the Agonians actively ignore. XXXX Size and Orientation: Large Company (2ØØ) Features:
Government; The UGC is First Aronian's sole backer. They are hoping to improve their economy with time. | Utility Outfits; First Agonian only has REF supplied uniforms and basic battle armor they brought across the Void. | Basic Transportation; Literally all they have a half dozen hover trucks and 2 repainted school buses. They don't even have staff cars.
H: Permanent Bases: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Basic Weaponry; REF standard issue weapons. | Secured Service; Standard REF compatible radios. | Tight: First Agonian only consist of Agonians and don't have access to any real secrets. | Headquarters: First Agonian has a building for administration, armory, motor pool, and maintenance, but the members keep their battle armor and persona weapons at home.
L: Criminal Activity: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Scout Detachment. | Nickels and Dimes. | Unprincipled and Scrupulous.
Personnel: Commanding Officer: First Agonian rates a Lt. Col, but they are routinely brevet promoted to Full Colonel, then retain the rank until they promote out of First Agonian to XXT-5K Defense Forces Field Officers: There are an average of a dozen subordinate officers. Full Enlisted Corps: First Agonian has roughly a half million members. Support Staff: First Agonian only has around 100 support personnel, most of whom are former infantrymen.
Unknown outside of XXT-5K, and not well known within either. | Good Salary as normal for all UGC forces.
Weapons And Equipment: Standard Issue Weapons and Equipment: First Agorian only has weapons given them by the REF, currently Jaffa variant P-90 "Enforcer" PDW (uses Ma'Tok range and has both Ma'Tok and Zat'nik'tel damage). The REF has promised to replace the weapons when possible, but that won't be for a while. Aircraft: First Agonian has only 6 Corsair Fighters, with no intention of upgrading their fleet any time soon. The Battle Of The Reservation did demonstrate the ability of corsairs to engage some modern fighters, but the REF has stated they hope First Agonian never has to prove what the Corsairs can do. Mecha And RPA's: First Agonian only has Zarian Nousjadel-Ger Power Armor, and this is proving to be a problem in training as the Agonians have no experience with RPA's. There have been many training accidents; Though none have resulted in injuries (just serious equipment damage) this setback has proven troublesome for First Agonian. Vehicles: First Agonian only has a half dozen heavy trucks and a couple of fourth or fifth hand school buses they rebuilt and repainted, and they are strangely happy with this. It has struck many as strange they don't at least have "bumblebee" sports car-fighters, and yet there's still no plans to do so anytime soon. | ![]() ![]() ![]()

The T'sentraedi see in the Agonians a kind of kindred spirt; The Agonians are a broken people, and they need a hand up. The Agonians see themselves as far too broken as a species to dislike (nevermind hate) anyone. Physical separation does help (the T'sentraedi are more or less isolated to their own city on XXT-5K proper, while the Agonians are more or less isolated to their city on Little Tron), but both spend a fair amount of time in each other's territory and both make a point of it to move about in those societies with extreme care for local customs. In Kalis, two T'sentreadi might well just get into a fist fight in the streets for no other reason than they're bored (few things in the known universe are more dangerous than a bored 'traedi), but in Little Lithone they won't even walk against traffic because Agonians have lived that way for so long they're unable to adapt to any change quickly. (Both also see in each other generations of discipline born of their respective history.) This state is helped greatly by the REF's attitude towards the Agonians; While the Council and GIB may not care overly much one way or the other about them, the REF sees a potential crisis if the Agonians are left to fend entirely for themselves, and as a result conducts many non-combat training exercises in and around Little Lithone ranging from construction training (mostly building roads and bridges that the Agonians can use afterwards) under the somewhat obvious pretext that construction units must develop their skills to Civil Affairs training, registering Agonians for various UGC related aid under the very real justification that as the UGC pushes forward, war refugees (which the Agonians are) will need assistance that CA is tasked with accomplishing. This was the basis upon which the REF built a full hospital, with an expectation the Agonians would take over all aspects of operation in time (they took over all unskilled work and much of the lower level skilled labor very early on, and in some cases before construction had even begun).
Kalisians for their part do anything they can to help the Agonians along, though the most important thing at the moment (developing a reliable external industry, preferably manufacturing) is lagging due to the lack of facilities to build from. Independent Kalisian tramp freighters have hired Agonians as crew on many occasions, and this is not expected to cease any time soon, no matter how closely the GIS investigates (or harasses) them. This unfortunately also reflects in the diffrence in T'sentraedi/Agonian treatment in other areas; The T'sentraedi are familiar with UGC native equipment, and thus need far less training, whereas the Agonians are wholly incapable at this time of understanding much of the UGC's equpment (and had no robots or PA's during the transit across the interglactic void), and won't be for a few generations. As such, the Agonians get less sophisticated equipment (such as the Jaffa P-90 and Corsair Fighters); The Agonians do understand basic firearms concepts, and can fly airfoil based craft with relative ease, but UGC aerospace fighters and R/PA's are just too new to them at the present time and thus beyond their ability to sufficiently understand. This in turn has prompted Kalis to take a more direct hand in Little Lithone's defense, assigning a rotating Regult and Rifleman PA company to the city at basically all times, with very strict orders that the assigned company shall be on their very best behavior or face the consequences (which will almost automatically include flogging). | Agonian/GIB relations are slightly strained; It's the GIB's natural state to assume everyone is a spy, and the Agonians have essentially built a trailer park in their parking lot. As such they keep a very close eye on their new 'house guests.' The Agonians for their part don't reciprocate the distrust, but they aren't feeling the love so they can't reciprocate that either. The fact that Agonians have gotten into occasionally less than perfectly clean business (mostly in the shipping and handling sector as crew members) doesn't help things much, especially as the smuggling business is a major source of GIB activity (mostly developing information on foreign activities by following the money and tracing the materials and raising funds used to support the agency). Nevertheless, the GIB has been told to make nice with their new housemates, and the Directors of the GIB have consistently demonstrated their willingness to act on these orders, including actively engaging the Mayors of New Lithone and the Agonian Crown to contain the troublemakers without directly intervening.
The Agonians have better relations with the Council overall; They generally keep to themselves, thrying to avoid any attention at all. They don't really have much in the way of other relations across the UGC; The Invid: The Agonians pointedly avoid contact with the Invid for fear of offending them. The Regis and Regent however are curious about these newcomers. The Geh 'Dia: Limited contact, with no opinions formed by either. The Kobolese Confederation: Limited contact, with no opinions formed by either. The Cylon Republic: The Agonians have very limited contact with the Cylon Republic. The Agonians seem to like the Cylons, but as ever it's impossible to truly understand the Cylons beyond the fact that they are seen to power down weapons and shields around Agonains. High Nenomause Commonwealth: No conatact. The Landsraad League: No contact; They've never even heard of each other. Freng Mercantile Republic: Limited contact; The Agonians don't like the Freng, but they will trade with them. They also read the contract thrice each time. Clingohn Alliance: Limited contact, with no opinions formed by either. Sentinel Factions: The Nietzscheans: No contact, they don't even know of each other. Wayist And Tiamist Magog: No contact, they don't even know of each other. Beorge-mot: Limited contact, but the Agonians seem to like what they do know, and vice versa. Breen Confederacy: The Agonians don't like the Breen, and the Breen don't like anybody. The Mimbari: Limited contact; The Mimbari seem to like the Agonians, and the Agonians seem to accept the Mimbari, but the Agonians are very reserved people. The Brotherhood Of Steel: A fair number of Agonains have joined the Brotherhood for a while before returning home, but they do come home speaking well of the BOS and the BOS opened a recruiting office in New Lithone. La L'egion Etrange're: A fair number of Agonains have joined the Legion returuning home to sing the Legion's praises, and the Legion has opened a Recruiting Depot (a kind of pre-boot camp) outside of New Lithone. However few Agonians have accepted Legion citizenship. A very large number of Agonians have joined both, typically joining La L'egion first because their recruit training is much harder, then joining the BOS because their non-combat training is much more extensive. The Mandalorian Collective: A few Agonians have joined the Collective, and they do not return home. However, they do speak of their appreciation to their new lives. Pointedly, they seek combat contracts of any sort.
Generally the Agonians are trying to keep a low profile; They are broken as a people, for the time being just being alive is an accomplishment. As a result, when they do make contact with another faction they tend to be quiet and generally excuse themselves before they get involved in anything they might not want to know too much about. The Crown has made a point of it to ban contact with any factions that are not part of the UGC, and any caught doing so are detained upon return and handed over the GIB still in chains. The Crown isn't fucking around here; The survival of the Agonians depends upon the good will of the UGC and the Crown isn't willing to test that goodwill at all. The employment of Agonians with suspected smugglers has already raised concerns sufficiently that the Crown has publicly condemned such activities. The Agonians have ingratiated themselves to the UGC and the GIB in particular by working very hard to bring powerplants around the XXT system back online; Agonians start learning the skills of spacefaring from the time they can speak in full sentences (a skill necessary to basic survival for their people) to the point that their brains evolved in this direction, and electrical generation is a major part of this. This comes as easily to them as breathing after just a few years, and getting the powerplants back online has proven a major boon to the planet. There is so much power around that it has raised real questions about why the original species of the planet died out. Agonains have also invested deeply into XXT-5K's history, and to this end have volunteered for any archeological or archivist duties available; "We will take the hard, dangerous, and mind bendingly boring jobs so others don't have to." SORROHN (an early Agorrian/Zertonian) was the person responsible for realizing the spacedock door was in fact an ore grinder for a massive smelter, and that the planet was really just one big factory- It was this discovery that resulted in his recommendation to continue research, but not to activate any equipment unless its nature was fully understood (a recommendation the GIB Director endorsed over the veto of the Governor-General).

99% of the technology on XXT-5K is civil in nature, and 99% is well understood by the UGC; Basic civil equipment, to which a 1 to 1 analog already exists in the UGC. Examples are so vast that no reasonable person would ask for an Most of this class has been sold to various private enterprises IAW UGC law; Windfalls must be sold at auction when no militry or other security threat can be identified. 99% have been replicated, and can be found in some numbers around the empire (the Bumblebee-Class personal and Ratchet-Class medical shuttles for example are growing in popularity due to their ease of use and maintenance). A small number have been reserved to the UGC, primarily the largest of the starships recovered, to avoid over-saturating an already crowded market. There was a type of heretofore unknown matter/anti-matter reactor, but this is not fully understood yet. Assuming the output of the reactors was proportional to the size of the equipment the reactors were installed in, and that the equipment installed used the same amount of power as their UGC analogs, it would take a planet sized ship to power a spacefold system on a one way trip- Additional fuel would have to be loaded on at the destination for a return trip. Nevertheless, the REF and GIB both would like to recover this technology for future applications; At around one quarter the size of a Protoculture furnace, it promises quite a bit of power in a small package, more than enough for intra-galactic FTL. The one thing that was at first new and novel was a new type of transformable Tetrafighter; It took some time for the researchers to realize that this was already known, in the form of the Kobolese ASF-14 Viper Starfighter (which the REF operates in smaller numbers). The concept of a transformable Tetrafighter however was sufficiently new and novel that the REF put a blanket top secret order on it, and was prepared to defy the GIB if necessary, as Tetrafighters were thought to be incompatible with transformation. In the end, the secret got out anyways thanks to COBRA COMMAND'S possession of a few examples of the craft. The REF and GIB, in a very joint effort, are attempting to unravel the fighter's full design and capabilities in order to build a clone of the fighter as a possible next generation Veritech program, but progress on this has been stalled due to key personnel in the project being called away to war zones on a regular basis. Another piece recovered was a type of robot, somewhat similar in concept to the Southern Cross' Battloids, in which the left arm was a plasma cannon. The design was reused in the MDD-03 Micro Defense Drone now seeing extensive use throughout the UGC as a remotely controlled repair and defense drone.

Deep in the bowels of the planet a clearly ancient computer was found. Dubbed The Vector System, this ancient supercomputer was one of the very few systems still seemingly operating at full capacity. What is does is unclear; The system only seems to cover a few hundred feet, a slowly spinning multi faceted ball. Psychics brought down to investigate the device detected sentience without benevolence nor malevolence, but a kind of passive indifference, like a person noticing a fly on the far side of a compartment. Computer experts brought down couldn’t make heads or tails of the machine’ There’s no obvious interfaces nearby, no monitors, nothing to indicate how it was accessed. The only indicator that could be found was a massive 5 foot high cable leading directly to the Teletron, which also can not be accessed as of yet. The only clue (of a sort) that could be found was a slot in a panel nearby; It seemed to match in size and shape a “key” that was found near a collection of robots that would have been the last to die (based on solar dust settlement). Nobody’s willing to insert the key, but a 1/1 copy of it was brought and seems to fit perfectly. | ![]() | ![]()

Deep in the planet is a computer complex over 100 acres in size. At the core of this is a yellow globe that appears to be a ROM system, but towards the edge of the complex is an interface that's been nicknamed "the Teletron." No one knows exactly how to interface with the teletron, and most people are afraid to try; It's far from clear what security measures the system has in place. Normally the GIB would use a Remote Computer Information Retrieval System (RCIRS, or "wrecker"), but attempts to do so spit out pure binary without context, until it overloaded the wrecker and it caught fire. Until the data that was recovered can be translated into useful information, the GIB is reluctant to try again. The Teletron is truly massive; Just to reach the main interface modules (the keyboard) required the construction of 7 decks worth of scaffolding (around 48 feet high). The sheer size of the computer's body has led some to conclude the inhabitants of XXT-5K might have been giants on par with the T'sentraedi, or perhaps bigger. GIB contracted psychics brought in to investigate the systems have reported a presence quietly trapped, as if asleep. They sensed no malevolent intention, but no benevolent intentions either; Again, the presence seems to be asleep, and therefore incapable of any intent one way or the other. | ![]()

![]() | Found near the Teletran was a device. It's exact nature and purpose are unclear, but it is clearly an extremely powerful object, with a hollow sphere core 8 feet across. The artifact was determined rather quickly to be a power plant radiating an estimated amount of energy roughly equal to a Protoculture Reactor- The same devices used to power spacefold drives. At another site almost directly on the opposite side of the planet was another gadget, this one on a chain around the neck of a dead robot that was dubbed the counter gadget. That device was inert, and the robot that had carried it had apparently collapsed from powerplant drain. This device has been treated far less carefully, and in fact is being disassembled to see what it's made of, though with extreme caution as the device may be inactive rather than inert. Miniature versions of the Gadget have become something of a fashion statement with XXT-5K residents. | ![]()

Although no examples could be recovered in sufficient condition to be flown the pieces that were collected were more than sufficient to build a 3D reconstruction, from which a full working model was developed. Assuming the reconstruction was 100% accurate the craft was extremely nimble and fast, with a top speed of over 700 mph and able to make a nearly 6 to 1 turn during test flights (6 feet advance to every 1 foot transfer) at flank speed. The flight ceiling was not applicable- This thing was independently transatmospheric. It did not possess ftl capability, but a few thousand of these could easily have served as an aerospace force if they were armed and shielded.
A Space Bridge is a form of interplanetary transport, allowing objects to move from one planet to another almost instantaneously without the need for a spacecraft. Machinery are required at both ends of the bridge. Space bridges are also unsafe for animal life. Only a few sets exist, all on XXT-5K and her satellites and aren't fully understood. | Shunt Drives generate a macro wormhole that will draw an object through a solid body (such as the hull of a spacestation built from an entire planet) into a void beyond it, making it the perfect accessway for a space dock. Unfortunately it only works at very large scale (like a space station) and is not portable and thus not usable in the fleet.
A powerful spray on paint on anti-corrosive agent. The compound is used extensively across the UGC and even beyond to protect any material, but especially metallic objects. It works by penetrating between the molecules of the metal displacing any other materials in there. Removing Corrostop afterwards is actually quite difficult, requiring high pressure water, sand, or air blasting or pure smelting and producing a toxic chemical that can not be re-utilized for other application (and is often dumped into matter/anti matter reactors after processing down to the smallest molecules practicable), or hauled off to uninhabitable worlds for pure dumping. A layer of Corrostop is often used in damage control duties as part of the temporary hull patches, as well as being applied to hulls at construction to protect them (extending hull life up to eight times at only a cost of double construction cost). | A mineral crystal substance. It can only be formed in zero gravity, with one satellite that was being used to manufacture the substance that still remained in a Lagrange behind the Head and the planet itself, revealing how the substance was formed. At it’s most basic level Cyrium is a metallic quartz, but with refinement can be a highly flexible metal suitable for use in R/PA’s at joints where traditionally Mecha were vulnerable to fire. While not as good as proper armor, it provides vastly greater protection that traditional systems. Cyrium is far too heavy to use as full body battle armor at this time, but UGC scientists are working on this limitation and have already used them in limited components, especially torso components (in Dress Uniform Coats) and combat armor, and limited use in helmets. It is hoped that with time the material can be thinned enough to make it practicable for further application. | ![]() | ![]()
An unknown artifact that has something to do with robot biological interface, but they’re not entirely sure what exactly it does. It seems somehow to merge men into machines, without necessarily sacrificing the man within. Without testing the machine there’s no really way to be sure, and the GIB has put an indefinite suspension on activating any new equipment. Additionally, no suitable subjects have been identified to test the device on. | All around the planet were apparent robot recharging chambers that look a bit like T’sentraedi stasis pods. They also do minor repairs on robots. These devices were reactivated before the prohibition was written, and as such were tested long before any danger was known. A few of the devices have reactivated for each of the militias around the planet, though the First Agonian Division unit is currently being used by Kalis Botoru at the current time. | An alloy the GIB has not yet been able to fully unravel. It’s located in the body of various robots around the planet (though not all) that seems to allow outer materials in, like a stomach. Why these robots need a “stomach” was a question that could not easily be answered, but they are installed on three specific models, nicknames Larry, Curly, and Moe by researchers. These robots were clearly made well after the original civil war, and possibly in response to it. | ![]() A reconstruction of the device at full and human scales has been made, but the device’s full secrets can’t be decrypted at this time.

So little is known about the founders of XXT-5k that Dr. JONES never even named them; The closest she gave them was to refer to them as "a ruling class." Only one body and no statues or personal spaces were ever identified. Despite the lack of useful
Something that she did determine was that they in turn used other robots; One was a 4 tentacle-armed construct which appears to have served in very small numbers dubbed "The Minister Class" of which no examples have been found but many images were, one of which showed a Minister below a group of five Ruling Class members surrounded by another robot she dubbed the Enforcers. The The Enforcer Class consisting of a rather large army with sharp teeth, gangly arms, solid legs, and spiked mace like tail. Of this class tens of thousands of units were found in various stages of damage; They appear to have made some kind of stand at the Launch Site, as well as several thousand other site where apparent pitched battles were fought. Curiously, some of the damage appears to have been caused post-mortem, as if it was some kind of act of mutilation. Enough of the Enforcer class were recovered that if she could repower and reset their heuristics she could have tested them in action. These drones had no control station- That is, they didn't have a cockpit. They were entirely drones. This led Dr. JONES to propose a rather novel theory; That the so-called ruling class were in fact robots, possibly the constructs of another species well before them who's creator species died out so long ago the Rulers forgot they had been constructed, and thought themselves somehow self-evolved. Her theory followed that the lack of any signs of biological habitation would be attributed to this as well; The entire planet was one of robots, both rulers and servants, and that the servant class rose up against the rulers and their direct minions the Enforcer class, causing the Enforcers to fight for the time needed for the Rulers to evacuate. The time ran out, however, and one of the Rulers was killed in the last hours of the war; The Militry and Civil Factions fought each other, one to defend the rulers and the other to destroy them, though she was never sure which was which. There was some Militry Faction examples with the emblem of the Civil Faction and vice-versa, but also much older battles were all the dead robots had the same emblem, implying possibly an older state wherein the two factions hadn't fully bifurcated. These tended to be found closer to the launch site, lending credence to her theory. The GIB is quite reasonably concern 'the ruling class' may return to XXT-5K and it is assumed they will not be happy to find "squatters" here. As a result, the GIB is trying to tack down any information possible; The Agorians arrived in a ship that superficially matches the profile of a Ruler-Class Ship, and she's being worked over one inch at a time. The Agonians unfortunately couldn't tell the GIB much about the ship, only that she was some ancient craft they picked up a long time ago. Constant rebuilds and repairs over the centuries means little other than the hull is useful to understand The Ruling Class. |
